MISS BOOKOO ARENACROSS
Erin Normoyle
Birthdate: January 19
Sign: Capricorn
Hometown: Torquay, Australia
Profession: Motocross/Professional Model |
Day Job: Fueled by the support of 'MDK RACING', Erin usually
competes in Motocross events
against girls, when girls' classes are available. Sometimes
she rides with the boys since
the sport is so male-dominated.Over the past two years, Erin
has been competing in
Supermotard events - a combination of Motocross and road
racing. The circuit consists of
70% dirt and 30% road. Her talents regularly take her to the
USA for racing events and
modeling assignments for FOX USA.
First Ride: Erin first took a fancy to riding bikes at the
age of 15, initially borrowing
her 'then' boyfriend's bike to practice. By 16, she was
officially racing and by 18 there
was nothing stopping her from making it a full-time career.
She has now been competing
professionally on national and international levels for
three years.
Awards & Accolades: Motocross: For the past two years Erin
has consistently been in the
top ten for all women's national motorcross competitions.
Her greatest achievements are
4th all round and 8th in the overall series.
Supermotard: Erin won first place in the Australian 2005
series of the Supermotard event
in March.
Reno: Erin at the AMA Supermoto
Finals in Reno, NV Oct. 06 where she finished 20th in
Supermoto lites.
Relaxation: That would be more racing practice.
The Future is Bright: This year will she not only be Miss
BooKoo Arenacross but Erin will
achieve her greatest ambition: Racing in the Women's AMA
motocross series in the USA.
Erin Is also to compete in the Mens AMA Supermotard series.
Other Assets: Erin has been modeling since she was 12 years
old. When she's not racing or
practicing, she's busy doing just that on-location or
in-studio. This is officially the
only time you will see her standing still.
For the last three years, Erin has been in the forefront of
consumers' minds, appearing
on Jim Beam product packaging and stickers. Right now, Erin
is adding some raciness to
the Jim Beam Motor Extreme packaging and point of sales
materials.
Ultimate Dream: To pursue her other ambition to be a
television presenter. With this
girl's ability to land on her feet - or rather her wheels -
no doubt her dream will
become reality.
